This is WHY!

Why am I passionate about teaching 2nd graders music note reading? Why am I constantly searching for and creating new tools to engage their learning? For this very reason: when I got to work this morning, this printout from Note Trainer was on my desk.
This second grade girl had taken the initiative to practice Note Trainer at home...110 notes, 100%!

As I begin to administer the post-test for my Action Research, and am worried a bit about what the results will be, I must keep this thought... if any success has been gained, if any students are more engaged and excited about note reading, then it has been a worthwhile venture!

Dalcroze Eurhythmics

Dalcroze Eurhythmics Exercise Video

Experiencing the Dalcroze exercises with my kindergarten music students and making this video was a lot of fun! Though even more fun to view what they were doing for the camera that I wasn't aware of at the time!
